Introducing Sean Rontree, Simplytrak’s New Business Development Manager!

Hey Sean, welcome to the Simplytrak team! 

1. Firstly, can you tell us a bit about yourself and your background? 

I’ve had around 30 years of experience in the commercial vehicle industry with a focus on selling specialist equipment for fleets such as cameras, sensors and weighing systems. 

2. What attracted you to the role and made you want to come and work at Simplytrak?

After meeting with Ian and Darren I knew that I wanted to work at Simplytrak as it seemed like a really great company. Simplytrak was founded almost twenty years ago and it keeps evolving its solutions. I’m really excited to be here and to get started! 

3. So, what does your role at Simplytrak consist of? 

Simple fact is to get out there and shout about our amazing solutions! Let me use this opportunity to shout about our latest innovation, SimplySecure – we’ve only gone and developed a solution to make opportunist vehicle theft a thing of the past! Simplytrak developed this solution with the largest courier company in the world, to help them secure their vans and goods as well as to train their delivery drivers to keep their vehicles as safe as possible. 

4. What is a problem in the industry that you want to fix? 

Vehicle theft is a big one. Over the last few years van theft has risen by around 45% in the UK. With our solution SimplySecure, we can bring that figure down. 

SimplySecure adds massive benefits to a fleet of vehicles. Especially delivery drivers. They’re out of the van, leaving the engine running and door open at times just to get their parcels delivered as quickly as possible. I know Amazon have had instances where vans have been stolen, losing thousands of pounds. SimplySecure will take that away completely. 

Protect the goods inside, protect the driver, protect the assets and the van itself. 

5. What do you like so far about working at Simplytrak? 

Simplytrak is a great company to work for, everyone is really nice and friendly and very helpful. There is a very relaxed, fun atmosphere in the office when you’re working. It’s just a really good company – nice, warm and engaging. 

6. What are you most looking forward to in your new role?  

I’m really looking forward to getting out, speaking to people and protecting vehicles with our amazing solutions!
